KYKA ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the KYKA mobile application or website ("Platform").
By creating an account or using KYKA, you consent to the collection, use, and processing of your personal data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
KYKA acts as the "Data Fiduciary" for the purposes of applicable data protection laws, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (India), in relation to personal data collected through the Platform.

We collect only the information necessary to operate the Platform effectively.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Location data (to show nearby outlets and offers)
- Device information (device type, operating system)
- App usage data (features used, actions taken)

Location access is requested only with your permission and is used to enable nearby discovery and improve the pickup experience. You may disable location access at any time through your device settings.
Camera access is used by merchant accounts to scan customer order-pickup QR codes for pickup verification. The camera feed is processed entirely on-device to decode the QR code; no images or video are recorded, stored, or transmitted. Camera permission can be revoked at any time through your device settings, which will disable the QR scan feature for merchant users.
Photo library access may be requested when you choose to set or update a profile picture. Only the image you select is uploaded to KYKA's servers to display your avatar. We do not scan or access any other photos. You may deny this permission and use the app without a profile picture.
2. Payments & Payment Information
All payments on KYKA are processed through Razorpay, a third-party payment service provider.
Important payment clarifications:
- KYKA does not store your card details, UPI PINs, bank account information, or wallet credentials
- Sensitive payment data is handled directly by Razorpay
KYKA only receives:
- Payment status (success / failed)
- Transaction reference ID
- Amount paid
- Timestamp of transaction
Razorpay processes your payment information in accordance with its own Privacy Policy and security standards. KYKA is not responsible for the independent data practices of Razorpay.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your KYKA account
- Process orders and confirm payments
- Show relevant offers based on location
- Send order updates and important notifications
- Provide customer support
- Improve platform functionality and performance
- Prevent fraud, misuse, or unauthorized access
4. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws, based on:
- Your consent
- Performance of a contract (using KYKA services)
- Legal obligations
- For reasonable and lawful purposes necessary to operate, secure, and improve the Platform

5.1 Partner Food Outlets
Partners receive only:
- Order confirmation details
- Pickup-related information
They do not receive payment details.
5.2 Payment Service Provider
Payment-related data is shared with Razorpay, solely to process transactions securely.
5.3 Service Providers
We may work with trusted providers for:
- Cloud hosting
- App analytics
- Security and fraud prevention
All providers are contractually required to protect your data.
5.4 Legal & Regulatory Disclosure
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or government authority.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to:
- Provide our services
- Meet legal, accounting, and tax requirements
- Resolve disputes
- Enforce platform agreements
Payment transaction references are retained as required under applicable financial regulations.
If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data, except where retention is required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention or dispute resolution.

Requests can be made through KYKA support inside the app. We may verify your identity before processing certain requests to protect your personal data.

Your privacy and security matter to us. KYKA takes reasonable and appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data and keep it secure.
While no system can be completely secure, we continuously work to safeguard your information and reduce potential risks associated with online data transmission and storage.
In the event of a data breach affecting personal data, KYKA will take reasonable steps to investigate, mitigate impact, and notify affected users and authorities where required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
KYKA is intended only for users 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
10. Third-Party Services
KYKA uses trusted third-party services to operate, maintain, and improve the Platform. These may include:
- Payment processing services (such as Razorpay) to securely process transactions
- Authentication and verification services for login, OTP, and account security
- Notification services for push notifications, emails, and SMS alerts
- Mapping and location services (such as Google Maps APIs) to show nearby outlets and pickup locations
- Cloud hosting and backend infrastructure services to store and process application data
- Analytics and performance monitoring tools to understand app usage and improve features
- Content moderation and administrative tools for platform management and safety
Each third-party service operates under its own privacy policy. KYKA does not control and is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of these third parties.
11. International Data Processing
Your data may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country of residence. We ensure reasonable safeguards are in place for such transfers. This may occur due to the use of cloud infrastructure and third-party service providers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When changes are made, the "Last updated" date will be revised. Continued use of KYKA means acceptance of the updated policy.
